The Types and Functions of Sensory Receptors in the Skin



The 4 types of sensory recpetors are thermo-receptor, Meissner’s corpuscle, nociceptor, and pacinian corpuscle.
The functions of the sensory receptor is to respond to stimuli from outside and inner environment.

Sensory Receptors are found in the Dermis layer of the integumentary system, and are made up of nervous tissue which leads to rest of nervous system.
